Carolyn Heighway BA FSA

Carolyn Heighway gaining her degree in archaeology and history at Exeter University in 1968 and was employed by various organisations including Winchester Research Unit, the York Archaeological Trust, and the Council for British Archaeology, where she held the post of Urban Research Assistant. From 1974 to 1981 she was head of the Excavation Unit at Gloucester Museum, managing and publishing excavations in Gloucester. Since 1981 she has been a director of Past Historic. From 1981-2009 she was Archaeological Consultant to Gloucester Cathedral. She is a Trustee of Cotswold Archaeology and was President of the Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society 2007-8.
